More Fleets Converting to Natural Gas

Compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles are on the rise, and companies with large fleets are taking notice.

Compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles are on the rise, and companies with large fleets are taking notice. In fact, a natural gas vehicle provides significant fuel cost savings, fuel efficiency, and is environmentally friendly.

"Even though the price of compressed natural gas is one-third to one-half that of diesel, some companies have been reluctant to convert their fleets to run on natural gas in part because the state has lacked a network of fueling stations."

But that is quickly changing. Many states have or are looking to add more natural gas pumps as the market for natural gas vehicles grows. Companies with large fleets should take notice of the trend, and consider the possible cost savings of running on natural gas.
